Video / Sound integrated design

I was asked to design video and sound for The Laboratory of Dmitry Krymov's production of "In Paris" adapted from Ivan Bunin's short story. The piece was in Russian and French, and toured to six countries, each requiring a simultaneous supertitle operator.

This production involved six projectors mapped across a raked turntable, providing a seamless supertitle/content projection system that enveloped the stage and theater architecture. One notable feature was a popout projector embedded in the floor of the revolving stage.

Supertitle, sound and video playthrough systems were linked via redundant isadora systems, allowing the supertitles to feature blur and other video transition effects, motion graphics, scalable fonts and screen sizes, multiple simultaneous languages, and sound interaction. This was a very hard piece to make in 2010...

Dr Ruth came through however..
